July 30th What about Bob (1991) Starring: Bill Murray
About: A new patient appears at a psychotherapist's door. He has every possible insecurity in the world. The amazingly successful shrink gives him a copy of his new book and goes off on vacation. Bob, the patient, discovers where the doctor has gone and appears at the vacation site, forever changing the shrink's family relationships.
August 6th Fletch (1985) Starring: Chevy Chase
About: Irwin "Fletch" Fletcher, Los Angeles journalist, really lives for his profession. As Jane Doe, he publishes articles that have caused several heads to roll in the past. Now, Fletch is at it again: In disguise as a bum, he lives at the beach, researching drugs and their dealing. One day, Fletch is addressed by Alan Stanwyk, a rich man, who asks him, the bum, a favor. For the sum of $50,000, Fletch should kill poor cancer-ridden Mr. Stanwyk with a gun, so that his wife will get the insurance money. What the guy didn't think of was Fletch's real profession. Returning into normal life, Fletch instantly takes up research not only to find out that Mr. Stanwyk is healthy as life itself.
August 13th Stripes (1981) Starring: Bill Murray
About: Bill Murray decides to be all that he can be -- and it ain't pretty -- in this hit comedy. John Winger (Murray) is a quick-witted loser who comes home after losing his job to discover that his car has been repossessed and his girlfriend is leaving him. With no idea of what to do next, Winger and his best friend Russell Ziskey (Harold Ramis) impulsively join the Army, more as a practical joke than a career goal.
August 20th National Lampoons Vacation (1983) Starring: Chevy Chase
About: Follow the Griswold family, Clark and Ellen, along with their two children, Rusty and Audrey, as they venture westward from the suburbs of Chicago to the Disneyland-like theme park, Walley World. Clark has planned the trip down the last detail, including seeing the world's largest ball of twine. However, Clark's pursuit of adventure is matched by his dimwitted bumbling, leading to a vacation his family will not soon forget.
August 27th Gremlins (1984) Starring: Hoyt Axton
About: A loveable but mysterious exotic pet brought home from Chinatown becomes the source of a slew of miseries for an American suburb when the "Mogwai's" owners disobey a few basic precautions and help spawn a host of evil creatures.
